Founding Partner Spotlight: Princess Yachts
Princess Yachts: A landmark year for the X90 and the new C Class
As part of our Founding Partner Spotlight series, we’re taking a closer look at the four founding partners who have shaped the British Motor Yacht Show since its inception in 2013. This time, we turn to Princess Yachts, following a remarkable year of new model launches and innovation from the Plymouth-based yachtbuilder.
From an exclusive London preview to the international stages at Cannes and Fort Lauderdale, 2026 has been an important year for Princess Yachts, with the arrival of the X90 and the introduction of an entirely new class of motor yachts.
The Princess X90 makes its debut
One of the year’s major highlights has been the launch of the Princess X90, the latest addition to the shipyard’s distinctive X Class.
Following a private preview on the River Thames in London, the X90 made its global debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
Positioned between the X80 and X95 Vista, the X90 builds on Princess’s innovative Super Flybridge concept, combining expansive onboard living areas with a strong connection to the water.
Its contemporary design features generous outdoor spaces, an expansive cockpit and folding balconies, creating a flexible environment for entertaining, relaxing and extended cruising.
The launch demonstrates the continued evolution of the Princess range, combining modern yacht design with the craftsmanship and engineering for which the British manufacturer is renowned.

Introducing a new era with the Princess C Class
Another significant milestone came at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, held from 28 October to 1 November 2026, where the all-new Princess C48 Open made its world debut.
The first model in the new C Class, the C48 introduces Princess to the centre-console and day boat market for the first time.
At approximately 15 metres, the C48 represents several firsts for the British yachtbuilder, including its first outboard-powered model and first stepped hull.
Developed in collaboration with Michael Peters Yacht Design, Bernard Olesinski Limited and Princess’s in-house design team, the C48 combines an open, walkaround layout with performance-focused engineering.
With a stated top speed of up to 53 knots in its most powerful outboard configuration, it is also the fastest model in the Princess range.
The C Class broadens the Princess portfolio, introducing a new style of boating alongside its established motor yacht and sports yacht ranges.

Looking ahead to the British Motor Yacht Show 2027
As one of the show’s four founding partners, Princess has played an important role in the British Motor Yacht Show’s development since 2013.
At the 2026 event, Princess Motor Yacht Sales presented its largest-ever showcase, contributing to a record-breaking year for the show.
With the British Motor Yacht Show returning to Premier’s Swanwick Marina from 20–23 May 2027, visitors can look forward to discovering more from Princess and meeting the specialist team.
The yachts confirmed for the 2027 show will be announced nearer the event.
